About Generation Mend

At Generation Mend, we believe healing begins with relationships. The way we were cared for, taught, or even hurt in the past can shape how we show up today. Here, we help you understand those experiences and support you in creating healthier, more connected ways of living and loving.

Founded by Dr. Siemone Smith, a therapist deeply committed to early relationships and generational healing, Generation Mend offers therapy, workshops, and supportive spaces for growth. Our approach is warm, culturally grounded, and rooted in compassion.

Whether you’re a parent, caregiver, or simply someone trying to make sense of your own story, we’re here to walk alongside you. We especially center the experiences of people of color, particularly Black families, while welcoming anyone who is ready to heal, grow, and strengthen their connections. Together, we mend what was broken and nurture what’s possible.

Our work is rooted in care, culture, and connection

At Generation Mend, our services go beyond traditional therapy. We offer care for individuals, couples, and families alongside workshops, trainings, and consultation for practitioners and organizations. What sets us apart is our deep commitment to relationships from the very beginning of life—how early experiences shape who we are and how we connect with others. We believe healing happens when those early patterns are understood, honored, and re-imagined. This focus on generational healing and cultural responsiveness allows us to meet people where they are, creating spaces that feel brave, compassionate, and genuinely transformative.
